Audience measurement

This site measures its audience with our own tool, hosted on our own server. It uses no cookies and no browser storage, and sends no data to any third party.

Your IP address is never stored in our measurement database. It is turned into an anonymous fingerprint using a secret key that is renewed every night, which makes it impossible to recognise you from one day to the next. Only your country and city are derived from it, using a database queried locally. Like any web server, the server hosting this site keeps a technical access log of requests that includes the IP address; that log is separate from this measurement.

Detailed data is kept for 30 days; after that only aggregated statistics are retained, for 24 months. The location database comes from IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
