Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy uses cold to treat many foot conditions. Local cold reduces the metabolism of the area, causing vasoconstriction and a decrease in pain and inflammation.
After surgery it aids rehabilitation, reducing joint effusion and inflammation. Its effectiveness depends on technical requirements that are hard to achieve with gel packs or traditional ice.
We have water-pumping equipment with digital temperature control that guarantees genuinely effective cryotherapy, within a tailor-made therapeutic plan.
- Apply local cold for 10–20 minutes, 2–6 times a day as medically indicated.
- Keep the water between 1 and 10 ºC to avoid cold injuries.
- Wrap the area circumferentially with controlled pressure.
